Marking the end of my academic career, I designed a backpack that compiles all of my experiences into one “ideal” backpack that would streamline my daily activities – the main goal being organized flexibility through minimizing overly constrained uses of compartments and making them easily accessible through the one main compartment

What is Ode?
Senior year marked the end of 17 years of backpack use. For my Senior Capstone project, I compiled all my joys and laments of the backpacks I’ve used throughout the years into one. Each element carries a story with it, an easy access key fob to all the times I’ve dropped my phone when I fumbled for the keys, the lunch compartment, a nod to my university’s terrible food, and a g-hook, to all the times I hung random things like tote bags and sleeping mats to my backpack while studying abroad – in a way this backpack is a tribute to my academic career, an Ode
